Changes to Oliver Recycling Collection and Drop Off

NEW RECYCLING PROGRAM

All municipalities, including the Town of Oliver and rural areas within the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) have signed up for a new recycling program. Operated by Multi-Material BC, the new program allows for the recycling of new materials across the entire Province of BC.

The benefits for signing up this program include lower user fees (your bills have gone down this year!) and the ability to recycle more materials. There are brand new changes to how recycling is collected or dropped off. The attached notice and 2014-2015 calendar provide information on how to recycle printed paper, cardboard and containers through your curbside collection or recycling depot drop-off program.

T2 Market is currently in talks with Multi-Material BC to become a recycling depot drop-off, until these arrangements are complete the closest recycling depot for the Town of Oliver is the Oliver Landfill.

If you have specific questions on what you can recycle please contact the Recycling Council of BC at 1-800-667-4321 or visit www.recyclinginbc.ca.
