The Town of Oliver awarded the Co-Op Avenue Reconstruction Project to TwinCon Enterprises Ltd.. Work began on April 30, 2024 with anticipation that construction will be completed by September 30, 2024.
The Co-Op Avenue reconstruction project will bring multifaceted benefits to our community including 230 meters of sidewalk to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility. Residents and visitors will also see a significant increase in parking options. A new three-way traffic stop at Co-op Avenue and Station Street will further bolster traffic management, reduce congestion and potential accidents.
In addition to the road and sidewalk enhancements, the project encompasses crucial underground infrastructure improvements to our sanitary sewer, storm sewer, reclaimed water, and potable water systems. These upgrades will enhance the reliability and efficiency of our utilities and ensure more efficient transportation.
