Oliver Fire Chief – 30 Years Service Award

Three decades of public safety service

Fire Chief Bob Graham received the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association’s Municipal Long Service Award medal commemorating 30 years of service in the volunteer fire fighting community.

Bob Graham has been Oliver’s Fire Chief since 2017, and prior to that, the Deputy Fire Chief since 2011, and an active member for 25 years.

Mayor Johansen presented the award to Fire Chief Graham, saying “It is my pleasure tonight to congratulate Bob Graham for receiving his Municipal Long Service Award for 30 years of volunteer fire service.  I would like to thank Mr. Graham’s spouse and family for their support throughout the years that enabled Bob to carry out his duties in Oliver”.

Chief Graham said “It’s great to be able to give back to the community and every day is a bit different, you never know what to expect.  The whole fire service is quite a unique world and its one big family, we all stick together and I find it really rewarding”.
