Town of Oliver seeks public input on the 2023 operating budget and 2023-2027 capital plan

We are seeking public input on municipal spending priorities for 2023, as part of our annual budget engagement process.

The 2023 provisional operating budget and 2023-2027 capital plan (found here https://pub-oliver.escribemeetings.com/) presented to Council at a Special Budget Meeting on March 27th included a proposed property tax funding requirement increase of 9.0%. The budget includes a forecast of revenues and expenditures, taking into account the impact of rising costs and service delivery challenges.

You can watch a recording of the previous two Special Budget Meetings on the Town’s website.  (https://pub-oliver.escribemeetings.com/)

Council’s final review the 2023-2027 Financial Plan, including the property tax increase will be at a Special Budget Meeting at 3pm on Tuesday April 11th.  Public feedback in advance of the meeting will help inform Council’s decision.
