A proclamation provides a means for Council to recognize a particular day, week, or month, or to light up Town Hall, to acknowledge the effort and commitment of an individual, organization, or community group

- International Purple Day® for Epilepsy Awareness Day - March 26, 2024 - Purple Day is celebrated annually, during Epilepsy Awareness Month, to increase the knowledge and understanding of epilepsy that will improve the quality of life of British Columbians living with epilepsy.
- Domestic Violence Awareness Month - October 1 - 31, 2023. The Town of Oliver will be illuminating Town Hall in purple for the month of October.
- National Drowning Prevention Week July 16 – 22, 2023. Raising awareness of preventable drownings through Water Smart education and a healthy respect for the potential danger that any body of water may present to be able to genuinely enjoy the beauty and recreation opportunities offered by bodies of water.
- Pride Month June 1 - 30, 2023. The Town of Oliver acknowledges and celebrates the local 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
- Longest Day of SMILES® June 18th, 2023. Raising awareness and funds to help a child born with a cleft condition smile and change their life with free, safe, cleft surgery and comprehensive care.
- International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia – May 17, 2023. The Pride Flag will be raised at Town Hall.

- Access Awareness Day June 4th, 2022. Access Awareness Day provides an opportunity for communities to come together to celebrate their successes and show what it means to be truly accessible and inclusive for everyone. Access Awareness Day also falls within National AccessAbility Week which is celebrated from May 29th to June 4th, 2022. National AccessAbility Week is designed to celebrate and recognize the contributions that individuals living with disabilities make in their communities every day.
- Pride Month June 1 - 30, 2022. The Pride Flag will be raised at Town Hall.
