Community Hall and Kitchen: Our expansive hall provides meeting and banquet space, complemented by a commercial kitchen facility. Accommodating up to 410 people for banquets or 500 people auditorium-style seating, the hall features a sound reducing accordion curtain, providing flexibility for events of all sizes. Our Kitchen is a great facility for commercial prep-space, cooking classes or to prepare the food for your Hall event. Our Kitchen is equipped with a double door commercial refrigerator, gas range with flat top grill and two ovens, a commercial dishwasher and a small bar area with second single door commercial refrigerator. 

Meeting Rooms 1 & 2: Ideal for meetings, workshops, or classes. Seating for 20-28 people each (adjoining door can be opened to include both spaces in your plans). There is a projector screen, tables, and chairs available for both rooms. 

Oliver & District Arena: Our arena has ice in from September to March (ice in and out dates vary each season, please contact office if wanting ice at the very beginning or very end of the season). Our arena converts to dry floor sports and event uses from April to August 

Oliver Outdoor Pool: Our community pool is operational from the Saturday of the May long weekend to the Saturday of the September long weekend. Please check schedules for available private booking times and fill out the form below to book available times for gatherings and parties. 

Oliver Parks: Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Oliver's parks, including the Community Park, Lions Park, Rotary Beach, and the Kinsmen Spray Park. These outdoor venues provide a picturesque backdrop for your gatherings.

Facility Use Application

Four Steps for renting a facility:

  1. Complete the Facility Use Application Form below. Submitting the Facility Use Application Form is the initial step in obtaining approval for your event. The application should be filled out by a representative with the authority to sign on behalf of their organization/event. Review the application thoroughly and provide the requested details to enable Recreation staff to initiate the approval procedure for your booking. Please refer to the deadline dates and priority rulings on our Recreation Facility Allocation Policy(link). Anything outside these dates is on a first come first served basis. For assistance or inquiries about the application, please contact 250-498-4985 ext 603. 
  2. A member of staff will contract you regarding your application and go over any details not gone over in this application. Once reviewed, the staff member will send you an electronic contract for signature. (*options for signing in person are also available for those without access to internet and/or computers*) 
  3. The contract contact must obtain $2 Million event liability insurance naming Town of Oliver as the additional insured for liability. 
  4. The contract contact agrees to pay all applicable fees and charges no later than thirty (30) days prior to date of event. Bookings of the Full Community Hall will incur a damage deposit of $500 that will be taken at the time of booking to hold the space. Cancellation details will be in the contract. If booking occurs within thirty (30) days of the event, payment of all applicable fees and charges is due at the time of booking. Alterations and additions to a booking are based on availability at the time of inquiry and will be added to the invoice.
