Help Guide Oliver into the Future
The Town of Oliver is currently updating the Official Community Plan (OCP). The OCP establishes a community’s vision over a short (5 year) and long term (10 - 20 year) period while addressing topics such as land use, housing, growth, and the environment. An OCP helps determine where people live, work, and play, and how they move around.
The purpose of this OCP renewal is to construct a plan which better reflects the community’s needs and interests, while also aligning with updated provincial legislation and other Town of Oliver future plans and initiatives. Phase 1 focuses on meeting new provincial requirements and must be completed by December 31st, 2025. Phase 2 will build on Phase 1 with a more comprehensive refresh of the OCP. It will explore broader community priorities, such as climate resilience, transportation, and public spaces in greater depth and will commence in early 2026.

The webpage containing the survey will be regularly updated to include information such as upcoming engagement events, project milestones and successes https://www.oliver.ca/communityplan.
