Community Input Requested on Future Improvements to Lion’s Park
Oliver & District Recreation is inviting residents to help shape the future of Lion’s Park as planning begins for potential upgrades. Broad community participation will ensure staff have the information they need to make well-informed recommendations about future improvements to Lion’s Park.
As identified in the Oliver & District Recreation Plan (2024), upgrading local parks and recreation facilities is a key strategic priority to better serve the diverse needs of residents. In alignment with this direction, the 2026–2030 Capital Finance Plan includes a proposed project to enhance Lion’s Park with new amenities that support outdoor physical activity, recreation, and play.
To help the community understand the project scope and potential opportunities, a short presentation is available on the Town of Oliver website that outlines:
• An overview of Lion’s Park
• Possible improvement concepts
• Physical activity elements and considerations included in each concept
Community members are encouraged to review the presentation and then complete the online survey to share their feedback.
All residents are encouraged to participate. The more feedback received, the better equipped staff will be to understand community needs and prioritize amenities that reflect local interests.
Survey Deadline: February 16, 2026
