Physician Housing

Housing for Healthcare Workers was an initiative created to support visiting and transitional healthcare workers serving the South Okanagan General Hospital and surrounding communities.

This project represented a major step toward strengthening access to quality healthcare in our region because finding a place to stay can be a challenge for the health‑care professionals who keep local services running. By offering additional housing options, we aim to reduce staffing shortages and support those who dedicate their time and expertise to caring for our community. 

"By investing in housing for health-care professionals, we are investing in the health of our entire community. This project removes barriers for those who care for us, strengthens access to quality health care, and ensures Oliver remains a place where essential workers feel welcomed, supported and valued. When health-care professionals are able to live and work in our community, they build connections, which can lead to people returning and choosing to stay. This project not only improves access to health care today but also lays the foundation for a healthier future for our community."

The two units are fully furnished, featuring two bedrooms available for physicians and health care professionals, with first priority given to those individuals who help maintain the delivery of services at South Okanagan General Hospital.

Nightly Rental - $75.00 +GST
4 Night Rental - $270.00 +GST (10% discount)
7 Night Rental - $420.00 +GST (20% discount)
28 Night Rental – $1470.00 +GST (30% discount)

Please note this calendar shows availability for all 4 rooms, so a "reserved" label may just mean 1 room is rented during that time. Final availability is subject to the approval of the Town of Oliver Recreation Facilities Clerk.

Rental Application Form

Please email the completed Oliver Healthcare Workers Housing Application Form to the Town of Oliver Recreation Facilities Clerk, Megan Martin at mmartin@oliver.ca. She can also be reached at 250-498-4985 ext 603. Please take a photo of your medical/work ID and attached it with this application. 

Applications are processed Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Applications received outside these hours are processed on a first come first served basis on the next business day. No admittance is permitted without a signed contract and full payment.
