The Town of Oliver, known as Canada’s Wine Capital, is home to 5,094 residents located between Osoyoos and Penticton, is currently seeking a Cashier Attendant to provide customer service support in the Administrative Office, Community Fitness Centre, Oliver Pool and the Oliver & District Arena Skate Shop. Under the supervision of the Recreation Manager, the successful candidate will provide direct customer service. Cashier Attendants need to be able to demonstrate positive customer 
service skills and the ability to foster an upbeat atmosphere while addressing the needs of customers, clients, volunteers and fellow staff.

Key Job Duties/Functions
• Answering telephone; e-mail; in person enquiries and cashier duties
• Monitor public access to facilities
• Inspect and clean equipment where required
• Ensure patrons follow the Code of Conduct and Safety plans specific to the facility (Administrative Office, Fitness Centre, Pool and Arena)

Hours of Work
• Shifts will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
• Hours of work will be determined based on the needs of the facility (mornings, evenings and weekends) during regular hours of operation that will adjust with the seasonal changes to facilities requiring staff
• The hourly salary range for this position is $26.37 to $30.60* per hour
*Based on 2026 Collective Agreement rates

Preferred Qualifications
• 1-year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a municipal recreational facility
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good working knowledge of recreation programs and facilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications/Amilia/ Point of Sale systems
• Current Emergency First Aid/CPR Certification
