Boil Water Advisory
Due to laboratory results received from water samples taken from Rockcliffe Well, the existing Boil Water Advisory, for Systems 1 and 3, is now being extended to all in-town and rural residents that receive a water bill from the Town of Oliver (Systems 1 to 7) with the exception of System 2 (Blacksage area).
The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
Instructions
Please take the following precautions:
Boil water used for drinking purposes, for at least 1 minute at a rolling boil, prior to use;
Boil water for activities where it may be ingested;
Do not drink from any public drinking fountains in the affected area;
People may use the water for washing and bathing;
Ensure that younger children and infants are sponge bathed.
The Town of Oliver is actively working to resolve the issue and restore normal water conditions. You will be notified as soon as the Boil Water Advisory is lifted and it is safe to resume normal water use.
