The Oliver and District Parks and Recreation Department hosts a variety of events in our community for people of all ages. The department hosts sporting events, workshops, and festivals many of which recur annually.

Why make a mess of your play room when you can make it at ours? Come play with our equipment, run around or do a craft in the Oliver Community Hall.

This social tournament is all about the love of the game. Men 55+ and Women 45+ will register as individuals and be placed on a team based on age, ability, and position. Tournament includes 3 games, MVP awarded to each side after each game. Thursday evening meet and greet, Friday night banquet, and a trip to the Oliver and District Wine Village round out the social opportunities.
Occurs annually in March. Games run 9:00am-3:30pm daily.
Road Race #4 in the Interior Running Association series, this flat, scenic 10K loop along the Okanagan River channel and around Oliver Community Park is a great event for runners of all abilities and experience. Back this year is the addition of the 3K loop for runners looking for a shorter distance. There is an aid station on the course and medical support on site. Refreshments, awards and draw prizes follow the race.

The department's annual Easter Egg Hunt in the park. Recurs annually Easter Long-Weekend.

The Oliver and District Recreation Department celebrates BC Youth Week annually from May 1st - 7th. BC's Youth Week is a celebration intended to help foster a sense of connectedness between youth aged 13-18 and their communities. Stay tuned to our website and social media for artistic, athletic, and leisure activities or hangouts for youth.

Our volunteers are cooking up a pancake breakfast this Canada Day, and you can join us for breakfast, lawn games and music. This event is sponsored by Kevin's no Frills and funded in part by the Government of Canada.

Join Fresh Air Cinema and their crew at Lion's Park for the animated movie "Open Season" on the big inflatable screen. Concessions will be sold onsite by the South Okanagan Skating Club, cash only. Parking is available at Lion's Park, Oliver Tourism, Main Street, Station Street or Kinsman Park.

We are hosting a community baseball game for youth ages 9-12 from the Osoyoos Indian Band and the Town of Oliver + Area C. This is a recreational game with a focus on building community. Spectators are encouraged to come watch, mingle, and cheer on the players. Looking to keep the rest of your party entertained? Lawn games and T Ball will be setup on Diamond 1. Supper provided to the players Spectators may purchase food while supplies last (cash only). Registering a player? your family name will be entered for a draw prize (must be present to win).
