Due to province wide drought conditions and low well levels being experienced for both in Town and the Rural wells, Stage 3 Water Restrictions have been put in place for domestic water. The Town of Oliver is taking these restrictions seriously: a 50% Reduction in water usage will be adhered to at Rotary Beach Park, Bridge Park, Centennial Park, Triangle Park, Town Hall, and the Town Entrance Sign Parks; Canal water is utilized at Community Park, Kinsmen Park, Kiwanis Park, and South Okanagan General Hospital and are not subject to water restrictions. Lion’s Park is irrigated from a separate well and as such is not restricted. Please note Kinsmen Spray Park will be available from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and 4:30pm to 6:30pm starting July 22, 2026.
Bridge Park, an enriching and culturally significant space that invites you to explore the symbolic world of the Syilx/Okanagan culture. This recently established park is adorned with a remarkable metal statue of the Salmon Chief, a creation by the talented Virgil “Smoker” Marchand.

Sports & Playing Fields: The Oliver Community Park features five multi-use fields suitable for slo-pitch, softball, baseball, fastball, and soccer. These fields are bustling with activity during the summer, hosting weekend tournaments and serving as the home for the Big League Experience Baseball camp in August. To secure a field during peak times, call 250.498.4985 for reservations or availability checks.
Tots and Tykes Playground: Playground equipment recommended for children 18 months to 12 years old supervision is recommended. This playground was designed to be accessible for individuals with all abilities. Please note the washroom next to the Tots and Tykes Playground is seasonal. Please utilize the washroom next to the basketball court at the concession building when this washroom is closed for the season. Tykes Playground Washroom is open for the 2026 summer season, 6am to 9pm.
Pathways: Escape the hustle and bustle on the 850m paved pathway within the Community Park or continue further along the Oliver Hike and Bike Trail. Enjoy a leisurely stroll or a scenic jog away from traffic. Our pathways are wheelchair accessible, allowing patrons to navigate directly to each facility without negotiating a busy parking lot.
Tennis and Pickleball Courts: Adjacent to the Oliver Community Pool, our three public tennis courts and four pickle ball courts offer a space for enthusiasts to play at no charge. Please note there are no nets up from November to April.
Community Basketball Court: the newest of our sport courts and newly painted May 2025, the outdoor basketball court continues to be enhanced by generous local companies and citizens. Lights have been installed October 2025 and will be on in the evening until 9pm. Chain link fencing will be installed November 2025. Located to the right of the community hall at 6359 Park Dr.
Community Stage: Our open-air stage, provides a dynamic venue for live performances and community events.
Public Washrooms: Convenient facilities to cater to the comfort of park-goers. The Tots and Tykes washrooms closes entirely October to April. The washrooms at the park concession building (beside the basketball court) are open year-round, however hours vary season to season. As of April 8th, 2026, their hours are 6am to 9pm. Please check with Recreation Admin Office for most up to date information.
Oliver Disc Golf Course at Community Park – a dynamic and engaging destination for disc golf enthusiasts of all skill levels! Spanning our community park, this 9-hole course offers a fantastic blend of challenge and recreation for players.

The Gala Street Walkway, a 600m-long accessible path that not only invites you to stroll through nature but also champions the beauty of native grass landscaping, all while offering breathtaking scenic views.
Stretching for 600 meters, the Gala Street Walkway is designed to provide an accessible and inviting space for all. Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, this walkway caters to various preferences.
The walkway seamlessly connects to Fairview Park, where inviting picnic tables await.
Extend your journey further along the Gala Street Walkway, as it seamlessly transitions into the new Ditch Trail along the irrigation channel. This addition extends the total walkway to approximately 1.8 kilometers, offering a diverse and scenic route for walkers and nature enthusiasts.

Lions Park - Off-Leash Dog Park - 6629 Main St
Located within Lions Park, this dedicated off-leash area is a haven for dogs to explore, socialize, and enjoy the freedom of open space. Rotary Beach Park - As of April 2026, this beach park allows pets. Pets must always be in the care and control of their owners. Owners must pick up after their pets.
As Oliver's only public swimming area, Rotary Beach is a hidden gem nestled in the southwest corner of the lake, right next to Lakeside Resort.

Lake Activities: A family friendly park for beach goers and sun-bathers. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or simply seeking a refreshing swim, Rotary Beach offers a welcoming environment for all.
Kid-Friend Amenities: A playground with slide, climbing equipment and swings is available. Designed for children 5years to 12years old, supervision is recommended.
Pet Policy: As of April 21, 2026, pets will be permitted at this park. As with all locations, please clean up after your pet and ensure they are always under your control. This ensures a clean and safe space for everyone to enjoy.
Convenient Amenities: Public washrooms are readily available, providing convenience for families spending the day at the park. Please note washrooms are seasonal. Rotary Beach Park washrooms are open MAY TO SEPTEMBER 6am to 9pm.
Community Support: Rotary Beach is a proud project of the Oliver Rotary Club and has benefited from numerous upgrades over the years. The community's commitment to enhancing this space ensures a pleasant experience for all visitors.
This scenic, multi-use pathway running alongside the canal, offers walkers, joggers, cyclists, and strollers a picturesque new route to explore. The trail can be accessed via Similkameen Avenue, Panorama Crescent, Skagit Avenue and Road 2.

Triangle Park, a picturesque spot at the southern end of Downtown Oliver, where converging streets form a unique triangular plot of land. Initiated in 1999 as a Millennium Project by a group of civic-minded volunteers, this charming park was completed in 2000 and has since become a cherished retreat. The park features a delightful rose garden, a fragrant oasis with several inviting benches.
Notably, a plaque commemorates pioneer engineers, including F.H. Latimer, for their contributions to the irrigation system between Osoyoos and Penticton. In 2011, a bronze plaque was added to the rose garden, expressing gratitude for the remarkable support from the local council, businesses, and the community. Another plaque, celebrating the Millennium Project, underscores the collaborative efforts of Oliver's residents, service clubs, businesses, and the Government of Canada.
